HR Systems & Information Technology (HRIT) provides technology support for team member focused applications and processes, including payroll, benefits, learning and recruiting. As a .NET engineer working in the custom application development space, you will focus on the creation and enhancement of applications supporting our HR clients as well as team members. Our group provides application support to a wide variety of HR clients, including compensation, benefits and operations.
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join the HRIT .NET development team. We are at the beginning of a major shift in our application platforms. We are doing a significant amount of application rationalization, technology refresh and migrating to new infrastructure on PCF. We have completed a new application build template in .NET CORE that will be used for all applications going forward. By the middle of 2022, our legacy technology will be retired and we will be a clean, common, and modern stack.
As part of this work, we are incorporating some best practices around building automated unit testing into our code. You are someone with deep experience in unit testing within the .NET framework and can take on the role of practice leader in that area. You will work hand in hand with the team leads and developers in making sure we have an effective, efficient and consistent testing model in place. This work will take up to 25% of your time in the early stages. Your principle duties will be as a software developer. (We intermittently rotate resources between our sub teams, so you get exposure to at least a few different client areas.)
- Work as a developer within our agile teams working on sprints or special projects as needed
- Provide guidance to the team in establishing and improving our unit testing standards and tools
- Provide support to the team leads in reviewing unit testing code for the team
- Provide 4th level technology support on your products. (We have a dedicated support organization that handles all production support, other than that requiring code changes.)
- Own the risk that you come across. You're responsible for helping identify areas of risk, proposing and implementing solutions to make sure we have the most secure application stack possible.
- Leverage enterprise tools and support our implementations
- Provide consultation and support for the integration of applications to other technology platforms including cloud applications.
+ 5+ years of software engineering experience
+ 5+ years of .net experience
+ 5+ years of application development and implementation experience
+ 5+ years of MS SQL server experience
+ 3+ years of experience building and executing automated tests (not Record & Playback)
+ 2 + years of leadership experience including coaching, training, and mentoring
+ An industry-standard technology certification
+ Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
+ 3+ years of HR systems experience (e.g. PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, Workday)
+ Agile experience
+ Knowledge and understanding of accessibility methods and standards, ADA Title III, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), or Section 508 compliance guidelines
+ Experience supporting or directing offshore teams

+ 1+ year of developing in Microsoft .NET CORE
+ Experience with a wide variety of database platforms (Oracle & DB2)
