Job Title: SCCM System Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will join the team responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our SCCM infrastructure to ensure seamless deployment, management, and security of software applications, updates, and operating systems across our organization. This role requires strong technical expertise in SCCM and endpoint management, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, configure, and maintain SCCM infrastructure to meet organizational requirements. Manage software distribution, including packaging, testing, deployment, and updates. Create and maintain software deployment packages, task sequences, and deployment templates. Implement and manage operating system deployment (OSD) processes, including image creation, customization, and deployment. Configure and maintain SCCM site boundaries, distribution points, and client settings. Monitor SCCM environment performance, health, and security, and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure SCCM integrates seamlessly with other systems and processes. Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and system configurations. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, trends, and technologies related to SCCM and endpoint management. Provide technical guidance and support to junior administrators and end-users as needed.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience as an SCCM Administrator or similar role in a large enterprise environment. Strong understanding of SCCM architecture, components, and capabilities. Proficiency in deploying and managing software applications, updates, and operating systems using SCCM and other endpoint management software. Experience with Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and Group Policy. Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and customization tasks. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Good to have:

Industry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (MD-101), Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Manager Administrator (SC-300), or similar certifications are a plus.

Job Description

**Basic Function**

The Global Business Services (GBS) Network Management team oversees and supports Wolters Kluwer’s Enterprise Network, spanning multiple public/private clouds, data centers, and offices in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.

Wolter Kluwer is on an exciting journey to move to a public cloud-based WAN using Infrastructure as Code, and it is looking for a Senior Network Engineer (Cloud) to be a part of the team. The Senior Network Engineer (Cloud) will be responsible for the management, maintenance, support, and development of the networking in Cloud, which will span over 150 global locations and is integral to the company's success. This is a hands-on role and presents an exciting opportunity for anyone with advanced expertise in cloud networking, and network technologies in general.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**You need to have.**

+ 7+ years’ experience in networking & cloud engineering. Recent, expert level experience in managing public **cloud** network,.

+ High degree of expertise in **Cloud networking** - Virtual Networks, NSGs, Transit Gateways, DNS, Traffic Manager, Route 53, Express Routes, Cloud WANs, **SDWAN** etc.

+ Hands-on expertise and experience with **Terraform** (or similar).

+ Hands on experience in **CI/CD & Azure DevOps.**

+ Experience in working with monitoring, complex troubleshooting & debugging, supporting public cloud networks.

+ Experience in cloud network security technologies.

+ The ability to work effectively and take initiative in a fast-paced, innovative environment demonstrating high energy, a sense of urgency, and decisiveness.

+ Manage & maintain global cloud network for high performance, uptime, and availability.

+ Maintain Infrastructure as Code. Codify and implement planned network changes through code deployments.

+ Upgrade infrastructure via code changes as required to improve performance and to address Tech Debt.

+ Manage & tune observability for early, proactive identification and remediation of potential issues.

+ Monitor cloud network capacity and performance and address issues proactively.

+ Manage and respond to network incidents, escalating problems to appropriate team members or vendors as required. Troubleshoot and address cloud networking issues.

+ Lead a team of cloud network engineers to deliver projects with high quality and in a timely manner.

+ Assist in audit & compliance activities by providing required evidence and input.

The **Automation Infrastructure Services** team is responsible for assisting in the building of automation strategies within UMB. This would include collaborating with different teams within UMB to design automation using various tools such as PowerShell, Python, Shell Scripting, Ansible, etc.

As a **Sr. Automation Systems Engineer,** you will be leading the efforts in advancing operational efficiencies through identifying and automating repeatable tasks, enhancing monitoring and remediation, and driving automation to be pervasive across the UMB environment. As a senior-level engineer, you will also be involved in mentoring and training less experienced automation engineers, collaborate with broader teams on automation activities, and participate in project and team meetings. This is a subset of the overall responsibilities which involves other multiple initiatives as assigned by IT leadership. **This role is hybrid (Tue & Wed on-site) for candidates in the Kansas City metropolitan area and open to qualified remote candidates outside of the Kansas City area but only within the US.**

**_How you’ll spend your time:_**

+ Define and execute core infrastructure services and common design patterns for computing, storage, networking, operational, and security domains. This will include developing and maintaining automation frameworks for platform provisioning consumed by application product teams.

+ Advise application product teams on incorporating infrastructure capabilities.

+ Actively collaborate with site reliability engineers to develop patterns, templates, and standards for pipeline automation.

+ Identify emerging infrastructure services to meet business resiliency requirements.

+ Actively develop and support self-service catalogs for infrastructure provisioning and make them available to application teams. This includes ensuring infrastructure provisioning automation meets IT general controls and that solutions are deployed in safe, secure, resilient and compliant manner.

+ Provide thought leadership and creating solutions built with PowerShell, Python, Ansible, and Shell Scripting components.

+ You have a degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field OR equivalent IT work experience.

+ You have at least 4 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or PowerShell automation/scripting. This includes troubleshooting and maintenance of scripts.

+ You have strong experience with automation methodologies, strategies, best practice, and process improvement.

+ You have experience with Metrics, Events Logging, and Tracing solutions using Splunk.

Under minimal supervision, performs professional and advanced technical work designing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the client's systems and network infrastructure. Ensures the operational availability, performance, reliability, and effectiveness of all client network and computing systems both on-premise and cloud instances using VMWare. Installs and configures new technology infrastructure and network equipment, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and other types of devices.
