The National Security Directorate (NSD) Physical Detection System and Deployment Division’s Technology Integration (TI) Group seeks a Project Manager 1. In this role, the candidate will support the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration’s (DOE/NNSA) Office of Nuclear Smuggling Detection and Deterrence (NSDD) by serving as a Project Supporter. Specifically, the position will serve as Project Support for the NSDD Sustainability Program, building partner capacity to sustain and continuously improve the people, processes, and equipment associated with countries’ counter-nuclear smuggling (CNS) programs.

This position will assist with the overall planning, execution, control, and coordination of project activities to develop and improve CNS capabilities in NSDD partnering countries. The candidate will report directly to the assigned NSDD Sustainability Managers (SMs) for the day-to-day execution of project activities and be accountable to the NSDD Sustainability Program Manager for expert delivery and customer relationship development. This candidate will interface with PNNL SMs, DOE/NNSA Federal Managers, partner country stakeholders, and other international stakeholders. Specific duties and responsibilities include:

+ Provide technical and project management expertise to assist SMs in developing and implementing NSDD projects;

Job Responsibilities:

+ Perform capability management by developing vision and direction for Army organizations to include formulation of IT infrastructure and services to produce a coherent IT environment to ensure NETCOM can operate, manage, and defend the Army’s portion of the DODIN consistent with, and as a part of, joint and combined forces.

+ Schedule project meetings, coordinate, participate in working group meetings with project stakeholders to track progress, identify requirements, and problem areas, review service/capabilities requirements, and coordinate milestones.

+ Provide technical expertise in the development and maintenance of project plans and integrated schedules in support of assigned capability for government approval.

+ Monitor and document project implementation activities using established government guidelines and reporting procedures.

+ Track and document project implementation activities while using government guidelines and developing an MS Project Schedule listing activities, duration, schedule dates, and work breakdown structure that identifies requested projects.

+ Assist the Government in synchronizing requirements throughout the lifecycle of the project (site survey, staging, installation, testing, training), within cost, schedule, and performance identifying any issues in project meetings.

+ Develop documentation that includes equipment information and procedures for Tier III support.

+ Support the development of resource plans that include costing for software/hardware purchase, maintenance, and consulting services for current and out-year costs.

+ Provide input to the development and update RMF and documentation as required and complete the artifacts for RMF.

+ Management experience in the IT field (technical and project).

The QA/QC Engineer will help guide the very large industrial manufacturing construction project from inception to completion. Skills and Requirements

- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Construction

- 9-12 years of experience in QA/QC for either Semiconductor manufacturing construction projects, or large industrial/manufacturing construction projects

- Experience with $50 - $150M+ construction projects

- Experience with New Build or Retro Fit projects, 75% being in a QA/QC role

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

The engineer will be a module leader who will provide technical direction for all analyses performed on static structural components and systems for an exciting new gas turbine engine development program. Responsibilities include guiding the analysis, design, development, and test planning for static structural components to meet requirements for life, cost, weight, maintainability, and durability. The module leader will direct trade studies to inform engine architecture decisions.

Openings exist for the following engine modules:

· Compressor: includes structural design of engine cases, flow path components, and a variable vane actuation system

· Combustor & Turbine: includes engine cases, nozzles, seals, heat shields, and transition of advanced technology component concepts to production readiness

· Bypass Ducts, Exhaust, & Externals: includes inner and outer bypass ducts, plumbing, and brackets.

The module leader must be adept at overseeing strength, vibration, fatigue, containment, heat transfer, deflection, and clearance analyses. In addition, the module leader will be responsible for ensuring that analysis results are presented clearly and effectively in design reviews and documented in reports to meet program deliverables and requirements. The lead engineer must have experience performing complex Finite Element Analyses (i.e., contact, preloaded fasteners, modal and forced vibration) to provide the necessary problem-solving guidance to the team. They may also at times be called upon to perform some analyses of key components themselves.

The applicant must be an effective leader able to thrive in an Agile environment and successfully coordinate the work of local and global analysis teams, create statements of work, review analysis output, and communicate effectively with manufacturing personnel, suppliers, customers, and chief engineers.

Driving process transformation to reduce design cost and cycle time is an important aspect of the position.
