A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU - ASDOH) is seeking a full-time exempt General Dentist for the CCU Clinic at the Assistant Professor level. This position reports to the Associate Dean for Comprehensive Care on the Mesa, Arizona campus. The Assistant Professor will conduct teaching, patient care, scholarly and service activities in support of the mission, goals and objectives of the School and University with primary responsibility to facilitate the students’ clinical experience from foundational knowledge and clinical skills to demonstrating competency in patient-centered care that integrates biomedical, behavioral and clinical sciences.

Overview

The Psychology Clinic in the Therapy Institute at Midwestern University is excited to be accepting applications from qualified applicants for the position of a part-time, 0.6 FTE, Clinical Assistant Professor with primary responsibilities to oversee and supervise student training within the psychology training clinic. The individual selected for this position will provide direct supervision to student trainees and provide some administrative support at the clinic. This role also provides unique opportunities to collaborate with other healthcare professions within Midwestern University’s healthcare clinics to provide comprehensive health care. Based upon the applicant’s experience and interest, there are additional academic opportunities, including teaching a course, collaborating on research, and serving on dissertation committees within our APA-accredited Clinical Psychology Program.

The Midwestern Psychology Clinic

The Midwestern Psychology Clinic supports clinical training needs of psychology graduate students within our Clinical Psychology Program. The clinic offers traditional outpatient therapy, psychodiagnostic evaluations, and brief assessments. The psychology clinic also provides consultation- liaison services to other Midwestern University health clinics though brief behavioral health consultation to patients in family medicine, speech language pathology, physical therapy, and other Midwestern University clinics.

Specific Responsibilities

+ Oversee training for clinical psychology practicum students, including supervision for individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy and brief consultation for child/adolescent cases as well as some adult cases.

At Reality Labs Research (RL-R), our goal is to explore, innovate and design novel interfaces and hardware subsystems for the next generation of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences. Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a faculty position in farm animal medicine & surgery. This is one of the two open positions. The appointment can be tenure-track or non-tenure-track. Rank will commensurate with experience. This is a full-time position. The successful candidate will be part of a 4-person team involved in delivering the farm animal component of the DVM curriculum. The duties will include clinical duties, teaching, and research & scholarly activity.

The Animal Health Institute is comprised of the Large Animal Clinic (LAC), the Necropsy and Pathology Center, and the Companion Animal Clinic. The LAC is a large animal teaching facility housing small herds of cattle and horses. This facility includes a clinical skills teaching laboratory hosting a variety of large animal simulators and models, arenas, and live-animal indoor and outdoor teaching and treatment areas. The LAC farm animal clinical service is comprised of a haul-in outpatient clinic and an ambulatory clinic serving the Phoenix Metropolitan area. The caseload includes small ruminants, cattle, pet pigs, and camelids. There are opportunities to do poultry if interested. After hours clinic coverage is limited to university-owned animals when needed. The LAC is fully equipped with onsite and portable ultrasound machines, portable radiographic machines, endoscopy, laser, and other patient-side chemistry analyzers. The farm animal service is supported by other services including anesthesia, surgery, veterinary diagnostic lab, clinical pathology, and microbiology lab. The adjacent pathology center and companion animal clinic are state-of-the-art facilities. Pathology includes a 5300 sq-ft necropsy floor, gross pathology teaching theatre, fully equipped histopathology laboratory, an 800 sq-ft BSL3-capable necropsy suite, and 1200 sq ft of classroom/teaching space. The Companion Animal Clinic is a 111,000 sq. ft. modern and innovative veterinary hospital for small animals.

AT Still University’s School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona (ATSU-SOMA) invites applications for the position of a part-time, exempt Assistant/Associate Professor at the Mesa, Arizona campus. Faculty members in the Department of Biomedical Science contribute to the mission of ATSU-SOMA and the education of medical students through support of student-directed learning of basic and clinical sciences through extensive use of clinical cases in a small group setting.

**The following is a list of academic responsibilities that may be required as a part-time member of the Department of Biomedical Science:**

+ Serve as course director for Integrative and Directed Studies courses.

+ Prepare educational tools (AV, demonstration models, lectures, lesson plans, etc.) as needed.

**Major Job Duties:**

+ **General** – conduct teaching, scholarship, service and patient care in support of the mission and goals of ASDOH and ATSU. Promote an atmosphere of respect, collegiality, commitment to diversity and social justice, and humanistic learning environment.

+ **Teaching** – preclinical and clinical supervision as a Periodontist in ASDOH clinics; effectively carry out lecture, seminar, preclinical and clinical assignments as assigned, with a focus on Periodontics, including implant surgical procedures.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Pre-Clinical and Clinical Supervision: Provide supervision of predoctoral dental students in simulation and patient care activities within the scope of general dentistry with a focus periodontics; provide clinical supervision of ASDOH residents as assigned. This includes consultation, treatment planning, and direct patient care in coordination with student providers, CCU directors and other specialty faculty as needed.

+ Oversee the development, implementation, revision and assessment of curriculum as assigned, integrating periodontics with other predoctoral curriculum, including behavioral, biomedical and clinical sciences.

+ Documentation: Complete documentation on student performance/progress towards competency; review and approve EHR documentation in clinic and simulation lab.

+ Support Director of Periodontics to coordinate with responsible Administrators, Asst/Assoc Deans in Clinic and Pre-Clinics, and Director of Clinic Operations to establish protocols related to curriculum responsibility areas; enforce clinic policy including infection control, QI, risk management, record keeping, assure safety and supervision and direction of clinic support staff.

**Education & Experience:**

+ DDS degree required.

+ Excellent communication, problem solving, crisis management and organizational skills, high emotional intelligence, tact and diplomacy.

+ Must be able to be self-directed and take initiative; role model life-long learning and critical thinking skills.
