    The Supply Chain Manager develops and leads a team of buyer-planners and material handlers.     Minimum Requirements:

Prior experience implementing a pull system/Kanban approach to component flow. Extensive sourcing experience. Knowledge/experience with eSourcing tools.

    * Facilitate shipment of outgoing materials or products through the coordination of inventory and paperwork, as needed.

    The Opportunity

    We currently seeking a Storeroom Customer Service Representative to provide service to one of our customer's locations by quoting material that meets customer specifications, costs and time requirements. Additional responsibilities include:


    * Buys materials from suppliers or distributors at the lowest cost consistent with considerations of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need.
    * Studies trends and recommends sources of supply
    * Processes and credits the customer and vendor for return of merchandise.
    * Develops and maintains necessary records and files for efficient operation.
    * Provides information such as price mark-ups or mark-downs, manufacturer number, season code, and style number to print on price tickets.

    Qualifications


    * 1 to 2+ years of customer service experience
    * Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
    * Experience generating and providing quotation/processing orders to fulfill customer requirements.
    * Purchasing/Sourcing of indirect material products experience desired
    * Must have excellent communications skills with the ability to interact with various customers and internal personnel daily
    * Must be proficient with a computer and various software, specifically MS Excel, Outlook and Word
    * Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

    Summary and Essential Duties

    The Gold Canyon Meat Co. Buyer procures product by vendor, geographic area, or customer for a single distribution location.. (S)he is responsible for professional and timely communication with internal and external customers. Communications across department lines and with key customers is a critical element in this position. (S)he is responsible for order fill, inventory levels and flow, correct product PO cost, and achieving the company goals in these areas.(S)he supports activities, related strategies, and planning to achieve objectives involving purchasing, vendor payment, and storage of product. Correct execution at this level eliminates waste up and downstream.

    Essential Duties:


    * Meet established goals for Order Fill measured by daily lost sales within the division.
    * Meet established Inventory level requirements measured by percent of inventory > 28 days to total inventory within the division.
    * Manage SKU count measured by total SKU's, aged inventory, and slow-moving items within the division.
    * Manage cost of goods through vendor management, opportunity buys, commodity purchases, and cost of freight within the Division.

    * Understanding and support of the SFC Culture as attached.

    Qualifications:


    * Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from college or university; or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Position Description:

    As part of a CarMax store Merchandising Team, under general supervision, a Buyer-in-Training (BIT) is responsible for acquiring and managing CarMax's extensive used car inventory through the successful completion of Customer Appraisal Assessments and Appraisal Offers, coordinating on-site Wholesale auctions, and attending various regional auctions. CarMax's unique retail environment allows BITs to train on a rotating weekly 40-hour schedule, which may involve traveling for training to multiple store locations and offsite vehicle auctions.
