Course Descriptions

Adobe Animate: Digital Animation (CIS120DC)

This course focuses on entry-level skill expectations for digital animation using Adobe Animate. Covers basic animation techniques used in the creation, manipulation, and editing of animation graphics. Prepares students for the Adobe certifications related to Adobe Animate. Prerequisites: None.

Adobe Photoshop: Digital Imaging (CIS120DF)

The digital imaging course focuses on entry-level skill expectations for digital imaging using Adobe Photoshop. This course will prepare you for the Adobe Certifications related to Photoshop. Prerequisites: None.

Adobe Illustrator: Vector Imaging (CIS120DB)

This vector imaging course will prepare you to use Adobe Illustrator graphics software on a computer. You will learn basic foundations in the use of electronic techniques to create, manipulate, and edit images, text, abstract art, graphics design, color graphics and business charts; determine file formats appropriate for web and print; utilize tools to optimize graphics and create a PDF file. Prerequisites: None.

Tuition

$97 per credit hour plus a one-time $15 registration fee

Total cost: *$888 (9 credits including the initial registration fee)

Course Location

This program provides courses through various modalities, including In-Person, Hybrid, Live Online, and Asynchronous Online (On Your Time) formats. Courses conducted in-person are scheduled to be held at the Mesa Community College Southern and Dobson Campus. Live Online, Hybrid, and Asynchronous Online (On Your Time) Course Modalities:

  • Live Online: Live Online classes have sessions that meet online on specific days and times. Attendance in these sessions will be at the discretion of the instructor, and additional work will be required on the students own time. Access to a computer or mobile device with Internet connection is required.
  • Hybrid: Hybrid classes include face-to-face format on campus at the time listed in the class schedule. The other part will be held online either without a set time to attend or a Live Online session.
  • Asynchronous Online (On Your Time): Online coursesdo not meet at specific class times. Students are required to have access to a computer or mobile device, and Internet access, unless otherwise specified.
