    + Supports the implementation of person centered engagement to meet individual needs and interests of residents living with dementia.

    + Communicates positively with residents, families, and community professionals regarding the Brookdale dementia care program and its benefits as well as communicate with families regarding residents’ personal needs and successes.

    The Activities Coordinator is responsible for creating, coordinating, and hosting all on-property activities and events as well as booking off-site excursions for guests staying at the resort.

    Responsibilities:
    • Plan, schedule, prepare, promote, supervise and execute resort activities and events surrounding social and physical activities, such as arts and crafts, themed weekends and events, Casino and bus trips, local excursions, picnics, sporting events, dances, and dinners.
    • Enthusiastically conduct activities that are appropriate and engaging for various age groups.
    • Manage to budget and develop supply lists for upcoming activities and events.
    • Prepare provisions for events, including arranging of food and beverages, booking entertainers, designing tickets, and coordinating sponsors to fund events.
    • Assist the Resort Manager with producing a calendar of monthly events for the resort.
    • Assist with managing social media including Facebook to promote lifestyle and marketing of the resort. Promote activities on social media to improve resort transient occupancy and build marketing awareness.
    • Photograph guests and events whenever possible for use in marketing, social media, newsletters and videos.
    • Set-up and clean-up after events. Clean and maintain recreational equipment and supplies.
    • Coordinate and provide additional services and activities for rally and group events in the resort, including private parties, provisions, entertainment and outreach.
    • Responsible for the creation of posters and signs marketing events in the community and on social media.
    • Assist with preparing newsletters and distribute to guests.
    • Help maintain a tracking sheet to monitor attendance, vendor utilization, income, and expenses for each activity.
    • Assist with ensuring all invoices are paid in a timely manner; document all payments.
    • Assist with producing a calendar of events for the next calendar season, while ensuring to stay within budget expectations.
    • Maintain accurate food and activity supply inventories.
    • Ensure all guest amenities, outdoor games, equipment and supplies are kept in good condition and free of hazards.
    • Provide maintenance work orders to Guest Services.
    • Other duties as assigned.
