    The Job in a Nutshell:

    The Receiving Assistant is responsible for assisting the Receiving Manager in the successful operation of the receiving department.

    Responsibilities

    Main Ingredients:

    Qualifications

    The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will be responsible for the daily processing of all outbound units as well as processing receipts for all incoming materials and units coming in for repair. Verifies and maintains records on routine incoming and outgoing shipments. Ships and receives merchandise or material and arranges the transportation of goods, while following policies, procedures and safety regulations.

    Responsibilities:

    * Processing Shipments using FedEx and UPS shipping procedures

    * Processing Receipts of incoming material and units for repair

    * Work closely with team leads to make sure Visual is correct and up to date.

    * Works closely with Compliance on incoming materials and Air Waybill approvals and tracking.

    * Contributes to the development of processes and procedures

    * Identifies, controls and documents non-conforming materials per established quality procedures.

    * Ensures the proper tagging and identification of all parts and components per established quality procedures.

    * Maintains the order and proper storage of all aircraft material.

    * Other responsibilities as assigned

    Education and Experience:

    * High school diploma/GED

    * 2+ years related experience

    * FAA designated Safety Sensitive position or potential assignment requires pre-employment Drug Test, and is subject to random 10 Panel DOT Drug & Alcohol testing during employment

    Skills and Knowledge:

    * Ability to work within deadlines in a fast paced environment

    * Ability to review documentation to make correct shipping/receiving decisions

    * Ability to read and interpret documents such as MSDS, safety rules, operating and quality instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
