Accounts Receivable Specialist II Duties Include:

+ Processing of electronic and paper remits, including the posting of patient portions, denials, adjustments, contractual allowance and recoupments.

+ Reconciles daily reporting from multiple bank accounts to receivable accounts.

+ Accurately posts patient and insurance payor payments to patient accounts timely, calculates and enters contractual adjustments, and patient discounts.

+ Identifies and reports issues, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement to management.

Qualifications

+ High School diploma or equivalent.

+ 3+ years medical and/or behavioral billing experience, especially in the area of account and payment reconciliation.

+ 3+ years’ experience with medical terminology and using an electronic medical record and billing system.

+ Demonstrated knowledge of HCPC’s, CPT, and diagnosis coding.

+ Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft suite, especially excel functions and tools.

+ Experience interacting with external payers and stakeholders.

+ Experience mentoring and training others on claims and/or coding functions.

+ Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position performs all functions related to the receiving, shipping, and distribution of materials and supplies for the hospital central supply department.

CORE FUNCTIONS

1. Receives incoming orders and verifies orders are accurate and intact, including special orders. Documents and communicates damage, shipping errors, and/or other discrepancies. Inputs supplies received and prints receiving ticket(s). Applies property tags when applicable and notifies appropriate party for items requiring electrical safety inspection.

2. Audits incoming orders for accuracy, proper storage, temperature, and/or damage; resolves discrepancies in orders; marks items for distribution; and prepares various receiving and shipping documents.

3. Distributes orders to appropriate departments on a timely basis.

4. Prepares outgoing material for shipping, including all returns and repairs. Assures that packages are properly labeled and that a purchase order, return goods authorization, and/or materials disposition accompanies each package.

5. Enters returns and substitution receipts information into the materials management information system.

6. Works independently under regular supervision. Follows defined procedures. Makes decisions and solves problems to meet internal customer supply needs and resolve vendor problems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge. Requires reading, writing and mathematical skills.

May be required to possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the company’s auto insurance policy.

A broad understanding of medical supplies and materials items and handling requirements as normally acquired through two or more years of related work with shipping & receiving and medical supplies.

Must have effective organizational skills to accurately maintain records and coordinate various inventory control functions, the mathematical skills to calculate quantities and pricing, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Accurate keyboarding ability and a working knowledge of the Materials Management Information System is required.

The Receiving Assistant is responsible for assisting the Receiving Manager in the successful operation of the receiving department.

Responsibilities

Main Ingredients:

+ Assisting the receiving department manager in accurately receiving all incoming products including date, accuracy and damage checking.

+ Scanning all incoming and outgoing product.

+ Staging products for efficient delivery to the sales floor.

+ Processing POs, RPOs, mispicks, invoices and paperwork timely and accurately.

+ Researching and processing all discrepancies.

+ Communicating with department managers regarding delivery issues and vendor out-of-stocks.

+ Following up on special orders.

+ Operating a forklift and pallet jack as required.

+ Maintaining a clean and organized back room.

+ Working with the department managers to address performance issues within the department.

+ Supporting store opening and closing activities including Daily Sales Report (DSR) and cash handling and cashier closeout responsibilities.

+ Handling register functions including backup cashiering, managing customer returns, addressing customer complaints, and covering register shift changes, including those for scheduled breaks.

You will communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external contacts to clarify and resolve issues. You will be manually unloading trucks and palletizing products. You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Not all work will be completed on Material handling equipment.

Warehouse Returns: You will be operating material handling equipment to move product within the warehouse. You will be matching item quantities and descriptions to packing slips on returned items, checking in returned product and tagging it appropriate. You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures. Our Warehouse Receivers are responsible for:

+ Organization tasks in the warehouse

+ Pallet stacking/breakdowns

+ Loading and unloading delivery vehicles

+ Operating pallet jack or equipment

+ Cleaning, receiving and labeling product by notating product and generating labels

+ Ensures food waste is minimized and follows food safety guidelines (storing food properly, FIFO)

Requirements:

+ Ability to work at a fast pace throughout shift

+ Working in a cold environment (35-40 degrees) for extended periods of time in warehouse.

+ Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse.

+ Ability to lift large bins (50-75 pounds) often, throughout every shift.

Description Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk. If you want to join a quickly growing accounting team, you might be interested in this job opening with great career growth potential and a great benefits package. Candidates who are able to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L will be most fit for this position. Since the Accounts Receivable Clerk will handle 200+ invoices a week, they must be a self-starter with high attention to detail. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Phoenix, Arizona area.

- Help resolve payment issues by contacting clients, assist in setting up payment plans

- Promote, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization

- Corroborate documents and codes

- Carry out an assortment of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks

- Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment

- Communicate information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

- Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in different ledgers

- Process payments and compile segments of annual reports and monthly closings in compliance with GAAP Requirements - Proficient in ERP systems

- Reliable skills in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills

- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Great Plains Accounting

- Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)

- Billing experience preferred

- Analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

- 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred
