Job Description

VCA Valley Animal Hospital & Emergency Center is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Internal Medicine Team.

The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.

In addition to standard Veterinary Nursing Technical skills, we value:

+ Excellent Client & Patient Handling while working with critical patients and complex cases

+ Knowledge and competence of Nursing care, husbandry, and clinical practice for Canine and Feline patients

+ Anesthesia induction, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery of compromised patients. Experience with endoscopy is a plus.

+ An active interest and desire to learn about advanced disease processes and specialty care/practices.

+ Versatility to communicate professionally and the flexibility to support various hospital departments (Primary Care, Emergency, Internal Medicine, Surgery, ICU, Exotics), embracing the cohesiveness of the whole hospital team concept

Compensation varies based on education, experience, and current AZ CVT license: $15 - 24/hour (includes scale for licensed and unlicensed Veterinary Technicians)

Anticipated initial schedule Monday through Thursday and then transitioning to Monday - Friday (5 days/week) daytime hours. **Must be open to flexibility on hours/days when needed.
