Valley Behavioral Health in Phoenix, AZ is currently seeking a Plant Operations Supervisor to join our team!

The Supervisor of Plant Operations will assist the Director of Plant operations with managing and organizing the operations of the facility. The supervisor will service as a back-up in the absence of the Director of Plant Operations. The supervisor of plant operations will assist in purchasing supplies, ordering, receiving, maintenance, security while maintaining compliance with all applicable codes, standards of government and regulatory agencies. This position also serves as the back-up facility's Safety Officer and serves on the Environment of Care and Emergency Management Sub- Committee as needed. The Supervisor of Plant Operations will be responsible for providing computer, information technology, telecommunications and data processing services to the facility The supervisor of plant operations will be responsible for purchasing and Central Supply duties include, but not limited to, ordering, receiving and distributing supply items.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist the Director of Plant Operations as needed. 2. Assist with sche duled inspections on the equipment in the facility.3. Maintain current awareness of new products and techniques.

4. In the absence of the Director of Plant Operations will serve as the Chairman of the Safety Committee and assume the role as the facility safety officer.

5. Ensure that departmental safety/security policies and procedures are distributed, practiced, and enforced.

6. Review all department safety/security policies and procedures as needed.

7. Provide a physical environment free of hazards and support the Risk Manager with establishing and evaluating the impact on patient and public safety, the buildings, grounds, equipment, occupants, and internal physical systems.

8. Comply with established measures for infection control, OSHA regulations and safety risk management, plans, policies and procedures.

9. Ensure the emergency service areas are clearly, identified and easily accessible.

10. Promote an ongoing hazard surveillance program, including response to product safety recall.

11. Provide support in planning and achieving remodeling projects.

12. Coordinate with outside contractors any necessary repairs beyond facility operations.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Minimum high school graduate.

Experience : Two (2) years of experience in facilities maintenance or related field preferred.

Must have experience and understand Life Safety Codes and OSHA regulations. Experience in supply chain management, payroll, accounts payable, other accounting duties i.e., reconciliation, petty cash reconciliation, accounting report preparation, etc. Must have knowledge of computers and business software application programs in health care business environment.

Licensure: Must have a valid driver’s license

Additional Requirements : May be required to work flexible hours.
