**Job Duties and Responsibilities**

Principal Engineer - Customer Networks sought by DISH Network LLC in Gilbert, AZ.

Design and implement next-generation networking technologies, Software Defined Networking – Cisco ACI/NSO, Juniper - Contrail/Asptra, VMWare NSX-T, Virtualization and Container Technologies, Kubernetes, Docker and Openshift. Deploy/support a large-scale production network in the broadcast center, datacenter, and Point-of-Presence (POP) sites across a national network footprint. Identify network security vulnerabilities in existing and proposed architectures, implement enhanced security solutions to meet business goals, customer requirements and regulatory requirements. Support & implement SSL & IPsec VPN remote access. Understand, implement and support the Container Ingress Services’ integration with BigIP F5 LTM. Demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature architectural judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented problems, company objectives and requirements, and developing standards and guidelines for diverse network activities. Track, analyze, and trend company capacity on the broadcast network and datacenter infrastructure. Provide Tier 3 escalated network support, troubleshoot complex customer issues. Perform fault management and problem resolution in a highly complex, mission critical network environment. Work closely with other departments, the company’s vendor community, and network service providers to ensure problem resolution and minimize restoration time.

**Skills, Experience and Requirements**

Requires: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field plus 2 years of Experience in job offered or similar. Also requires 2 years of experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):

+ Layer 3 routing and advanced routing technologies

+ BGP, OSPF, Segment Routing (SRmpls and SRv6), IP Multicast (PIM,IGMP,SSM,Auto-RP), MPLS, IS-IS, Fabricpath and Layer 4-7 management

+ Cisco Catalyst (3800,6500,7600,9300,9500), ASR series routers (1000, 9000); Cisco ISR 4000; Cisco Nexus (9000,7000,5500,5600,2000)

+ Juniper QFX (4300,4600,5100), MX-series (MX-240,MX480) and Contrail/Apstra

+ Data security firewalls including Cisco ASA (5500,5525-X,5585), Cisco Firepower ASA 2100, Check Point Next Generation Firewalls (5600,12400, 15600,16200T,21400,61000, Maestro Orchestrator MHO-175), Palo Alto Firewalls (PA-5420,PA-5430,PA-5450)

+ Firewalls management Cisco ASDM, CheckPoint Smartconsole Gaia, Palo Alto Panorama

+ Load-balancers F5 LTM, GTM, NginX, Citrix NetScaler and A10

+ Solarwinds Monitoring, Cisco ISE, Microsoft Visio, Lucid Charts, Netbrain, Netbox

**Salary Ranges**

Compensation: $159,656.90/Year - $159,656.90/Year
