Bring expertise and understanding of the solar and energy storage installation process (applications, approvals, rates, technical details).
Review Distributed Generation (DG) applications for compliance with Distributed Generation Interconnection Requirements (DGIR).
Be a trusted resource for installers, providing guidance and support throughout the process.
Play a key role in the implementation and management of any current or future installer related programs.

What you bring
At least two years of relevant experience in the utility or related industry.
Knowledge of residential/commercial Renewable Energy Programs and front-end processing of DG applications, and knowledge of DGIR rules.
Administrative competence and critical thinking skills with a strong background in processing accurate and timely work product.

Position Description
The Renewable Energy Installer Liaison acts as a central point of contact between energy storage and solar installers, and the company. This role is critical for maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external customers and stakeholders. The Installer Liaison possesses an understanding of the installation process, including application and approval requirements, as well as rates. This position is expected to clearly communicate these aspects to installers. The Installer Liaison also plays a key role in training and supporting new installers, and troubleshooting issues that may arise during the process.

Position-Related Responsibilities

Expertise and Communication:
Possesses an understanding of the solar and energy storage installation process (applications, approvals, rates, technical details).
Intermediate knowledge in renewable technology components, AC and DC electrical theory, and ability to review and understand system electrical drawings; or related experience and knowledge in other electrical components and systems.
Clearly communicate this knowledge to all stakeholders (installers, internal departments, customers).
Review Distributed Generation (DG) applications for compliance with Distributed Generation Interconnection Requirements (DGIR) (technical expertise).

Installer Support and Training:
Be a trusted resource for installers, providing guidance and support throughout the process.
Develop and deliver engaging technical training materials on relevant topics (DG, DGIR, etc.).
Lead the development and implementation of effective installer training programs.
Play a key role in the implementation and management of any current or future installer related programs.

Project Management and Problem-Solving:
Manage moderately complex projects with some guidance.
Proactively identify and resolve issues that may arise during the installation process, ensuring smooth completion.
Contribute to departmental goals by providing regular activity reports and participating in work group goal development.
Relationship Management and Customer Service:

Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders (installers, customers, partners).
Effectively communicate, even complex issues, constructively (mid-level customer/installer communication).
Manage and address medium-complexity customer issues via email.
Provide exceptional customer service through phone and email, addressing complex residential/commercial program issues (advanced customer service).
Collaborate with stakeholders to move forward departmental initiatives, coordinate activities, and share industry trends.
Focused on improving the customer experience through installer relationships and fostering excellence in how the utility and installers work together for our mutual customer’s project success.

Continuous Improvement:
Collect and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement in the installation process.
Implement these improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
Participate in planning and implementing updates to workflows, communication, and other departmental processes for efficiency and better customer experience.
Review trends and business processes, identifying and recommending improvements to address customer/installer concerns (subject matter expertise).

Additional Responsibilities:
Assist in project advancement by performing project documentation and leveraging document management systems.
Assist or lead in investigating, responding to, and resolving customer complaints related to the installation process.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
(Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.)
Minimum Qualifications:
At least two years of relevant experience in the utility or related industry.
Exhibit administrative competence and critical thinking skills with strong background in processing accurate and timely work product.
Able to assist with project management or technical support for renewable energy programs and projects.
Knowledge of residential / commercial Renewable Energy Programs and the front-end processing of DG applications.
Knowledge of DGIR Rules
Skills and expertise in program processing, procedures, and systems.
Knowledge of Renewable Energy Standards and Tariff Requirements & Reporting
Ability to coordinate technical and program compliance for renewable energy and energy efficiency programs.
Ability to process high level of work without error, possessing critical and analytical thinking.
Proficiency in PC computer skills & applications including spreadsheets, word processing and presentation software.
Excellent verbal and written skills, public speaking, strong presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Basic experience with mechanical and electrical systems

Preferred Qualifications
Associate of Business, Science or related field
Advanced knowledge of related teams and resources
Knowledge of TEP Service Requirements
Knowledge of TEP Rates, Riders, and Rules& Regs
Knowledge of TEP Energy Programs
Pay Rate: $50,000 - $67,000 depending on experience and education
