Responsibilities Job Summary Under the direction of the supervisor, this position must perform all functions related to a minimum of two modalities: including CT or MRI or serve the Hybrid OR in addition to general Radiology Technologist duties. Performs high quality procedures that require ingenuity, initiative and independent judgment. Duties include and are not limited to performing routine test, monitoring the quality of tests, and obtaining maintenance service on equipment. This position may require providing technical and imaging support at any HonorHealth facility in the network. Technologist must routinely perform procedures in these modalities. Must perform all functions related to a minimum of two of the following modalities: Radiology, CT or MRI or serve the Hybrid OR in addition to general Radiology Technologist duties. Assists physician in a variety of procedures within specified guidelines as demonstrated by documentation. Demonstrates proficiency in performing procedures. All procedures will be conducted in accordance with proper procedures and within specified timeframes as ordered and directed. Assists physicians with procedures as needed. Obtains accurate and pertinent clinical and patient history within specified guidelines. Answers patient questions and explains procedures. Operates equipment within specifications as demonstrated by observation and audit. Obtains and evaluates images for technical quality assurance factors including image laterality marking and annotation as required by specified procedure protocols. Utilizes RIS, PACS and other, ancillary image management systems as needed. Plans, schedules, and coordinates daily workflow for the department’s activities. Maintains equipment in efficient operating order. Performs and documents all required quality control testing. Contacts service for repair and maintenance as directed. Rotates throughout the department as staffing and volume dictates. Participates in orientation, training, and in-servicing of staff, as needed. Maintains an orderly, clean and safe environment of patients and staff in assigned area. Maintains stock and inventory as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED Required Experience <10 months clinical CT, MRI, Hybrid OR or one (1) year general radiology experience Required Licenses and Certifications American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Current and valid American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and Completion of an ARRT accredited Radiology General Procedures program or US military Radiology General Procedures training program Required Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRTLC) Current and valid AZ CRT Licensure Required Radiology Tech (ARRT) License Current and valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (RT) Required Basic Life Support (BLS) Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required If CT is secondary modality - CTP (Computed Tomography preceptor license) and achieve ARRT CT registry and AZ CTCT licensure within 1 year. Required If MRI is secondary modality - ARRT or ARMRIT MRI certification/registry Required
