Ideal candidates for this role will have: Hospital finance leadership experience Responsibilities Job Summary This position will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and strategies within their assigned area of focus. The position plays a key role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our network by providing financial guidance and managing day-to-day financial activities which can include some or all the following Financial Strategy and Planning • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the overall goals and objectives of the network. • Creating financial models for future business planning decisions in area such as new services, new market areas and service expansion • Partner with senior leaders in developing long-term financial plans. • Provide continuous improvement guidance for all finance related including accounting, financial systems, internal controls, financial analysis, budgeting, labor productivity, supply chain and reporting. Financial Operations Management • Manage and mentors finance professionals. • Support and model a service-oriented culture focused on employee engagement, clinical quality, patient safety, service excellence, fiscal responsibility, and the overall patient experience. • Build and support effective collegial relationships with physicians, leaders and peers across the network to enable an environment of proper financial governance. • Maintains collaborative spirit and fosters strong partnering relationships. Financial Reporting and Analysis • Gather, interpret and evaluate financial and key metrics impacting financial performance. • Prepare and present key financial metrics and indicators. • Provide insights on financial performance and trends. • Conduct financial modeling and forecasting to support long-term initiatives. Budgeting and Cost Management • Lead budgeting process within their assigned area, by working closely with department leaders to develop annual budgets. • Monitor budgets and variances, providing analysis and recommendations for improvement. Supervises, motivates, and manages direct reports that assist leadership in the achievement of financial and operational performance objectives and expectations including revenue growth, operational margin targets, effective expense management and overall efficiency measures. This includes the use of analytical processes to assure the achievement of initiatives and the implementation of performance improvement opportunities in the areas of operational performance, clinical excellence, patient satisfaction and employee engagement. Oversees financial and analytical expertise and assistance to leadership and Department Managers by effectively preparing and communicating financial information as requested. Facilitates monthly operating reviews of financial performance, works with Managers on action plans as needed to get financial metrics back on track. Debriefs financial and operations leadership routinely on the monitoring of Financial Reporting (regarding key financial trends and issues). Validates to leadership the financial impact of strategy, planning and business development initiatives as compiled by the corporate planning function for the operations area and/or service lines. Provides plan tracking to monitor if expected results are being realized. Partners with Integration, Quality and Continuous Improvement resources to balance prioritization of financial initiatives with those for clinical quality or patient experience. Help interpret the financial impact of any of these initiatives and track impact to the financials. Leads the development, implementation and monitoring of operational and capital budgets at the facility. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree Required Experience 8 years of Accounting/Analytics and/or Payor based reimbursement experience Required 4 years in Healthcare based experienced Required
