**What You Will Do**

+ Review, investigate and develop appropriate recommendations regarding assigned Engineering projects.

+ Serve as Project Manager or Technical Advisor, on small-to-medium site construction, expansion or modification projects.

+ Evaluate and administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment.

+ Collaborate in site strategic planning and budgeting efforts for designated Engineering areas.

+ Assist in the development and evaluation of Appropriation Request (AR) for capital funding.

+ Perform other duties as required.

**What You Bring To Freeport**

+ High School diploma or GED **and** seven (7) years of Engineering experience, ** OR**

+ Bachelor's degree in a Scientific discipline ** and** three (3) years of Engineering experience

+ Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions.

+ Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.

+ Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.

+ Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Transformer maintenance and installation experience.

+ Substation switchgear installation and maintenance (preferable SF6 breakers and circuit switchers) experience.

+ Experience developing red line prints.

+ Experience with installing and upgrading protective relays.

+ Experience with baker motor testing equipment and ability to interpret baker motor tester results.

+ Ability to lead people and develop others.

**What We Offer You**

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently **$87,000-$121,000** This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
