Responsibilities Job Summary Under the direction of Leadership, the IT Applications Analyst is responsible to empower our community through the continuous development, deployment, and support of vendor proprietary enterprise application software. The Application Analyst supports software that is necessary to run clinical, financial, or business systems within a large integrated health system. This position works on the analysis of existing and proposed vendor supplied software functionality to determine if the software conforms to current health system workflow processes. The Application Analyst is a high performing individual who collaborates with business operations to understand and define system requirements to develop innovative solutions meeting the customers' needs. The Application Analyst is responsible to understand and conform to HonorHealth's project and change management methodologies and may be responsible for leading low to moderate complexity projects leveraging this framework. In addition, this position requires an on-call rotation facilitating off hour work functions in support of incidents, upgrades, patches, and project task fulfillment. Ability to troubleshoot low to moderate complexity end-user issues, workflow problems, and enhancement requests for departmental users, associated medical staff, key stakeholders, management and leadership. Contributes to technical and workflow root cause analysis. Analyze business operations as they relate to design decisions and prioritize and implement requested changes to the system. On an as needed basis, performs in-depth analyses of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with the use of integrated applications with minimal assistance. Design, Test, Implement and support files/systems within assigned products and scope with minimal supervision. Populates tables and databases, for a domain with multiple owners, with some assistance from Vendor and Information Technology staff. Collaborates in an integrated approach to eliminate the potential for a negative impact to our customers and patients. Responsible for maintaining set standards of application system build and database maintenance. Including updates to master files, profiles, dictionaries, and other databases. Assists with recommendations for standardized naming, numbering and security conventions. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Communicates effectively (written and oral) across all levels of the organization and has the ability to determine the appropriate forum for each method. Develops effective working relationships across HonorHealth and with vendor applications support personnel. Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and manage individual workload with minimal assistance. Collaborates effectively with team members to adjust priorities based on business needs. Must be willing and able to travel to any/all HonorHealth and affiliated sites. Assists with the change management, project management, and documentation policies and standards, established by the Information Technology Department and Project Management Office for maintenance, requests and new initiatives. May lead low to moderate complexity projects as assigned. Understands and utilizes the IT Project Management toolset for the successful completion of initiatives. Understands and follows established change management procedures for testing, documenting, and communicating system changes. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Associate's Degree or 2 years' work related experience Degree in Healthcare, Business, Information Systems (IS), Computer Science, or related field Required Experience 3 years of Healthcare, consulting, or IT related experience that demonstrates an advanced understanding of the standard tools, workflow processes, and/or procedures and concepts used in the deployment and development of application software necessary to run the healthcare systems business, clinical or financial systems. Required Licenses and Certifications Certification for assigned application should be obtained within designated timeframe per policy. Required
