Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking **Principal / Sr. Principal Software Engineer – 13947.** This position will be located in **Roy, Utah** or **Colorado Springs** **,** **Colorado** or **Huntsville, Alabama** and will support the Sentinel Program.
**What You’ll Get To Do:**
This position will be a lead position over LabVIEW test stand for Command and Launch C2 Element.
Act as the primary interface between multiple organizations that plan to utilize and test equipment utilizing the LabVIEW test stands. These teams include Software, Hardware, Integration, and Labs with collaboration between systems engineering, design, product teams, and test teams.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
**Job Qualifications:**
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Principal Software Engineer: Bachelor's degree in Science with 5 years of experience; or Master's degree with 3 years of experience; or PhD with 1 year of experience or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree
+ Sr. Principal Software Engineer: Bachelor's degree in Science with 8 years of experience; or Master's degree with 6 years of experience; or PhD with 4 years of experience or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree
**Required for Both Levels:**
+ Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 06 years
+ US Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
+ Programming and/or automation experience in LabVIEW and VeriStand
+ Ability to solve problems and drive tasks to completion with minimal guidance.
+ Experience automating test reports that provide Pass/Fail insights into the system under test (SUT).
+ Experiencing troubleshooting various signaling fault conditions.
+ Experience with typical laboratory equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Multi-Meters, Function Generators, Power Supplies, Electronic Loads, Network Emulators and Traffic Generators.
+ Experience utilizing virtual machines and remote applications.
+ Ability to present engineering findings orally and in written technical reports and presentations.
+ Experience in fast-paced work environment and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
+ Understanding of the operation of data acquisition fundamentals (i.e., plug-in data acquisition cards, RS 232, RS422, GPIB, PXI devices and signal conditioning of various sensors)
+ Experience with Windows/Linux based executional software
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence
+ Experience with MATLAB, C/C++, C#, Visual Basic, and Python
+ Proficient with DOORS, Cameo with the ability to write and decompose system requirements
+ Ability to evaluate risks and tradeoffs and present solution options to management
+ Experience with Embedded SW Development
+ Experience with NI PXI Systems Testing & Development

**Salary Range:** $95,300 - $158,000
**Salary Range 2:** $148,300 - $196,700
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
