Job Description:
To plan and carry out direct care of individuals served by New Beginning Homes.
Key responsibilities:
Monitor and ensure the health and safety of all individuals living in the home.
Administer medications as prescribed by a medical professional.
Prepare all necessary meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks etc.).
Transport individual to appointments, visits, and activities.
Implement habilitation objectives/goals as agreed upon by the ISP team.
When applicable implement behavior building plans.
Actively interact with individuals in the home throughout your shift.
Complete all required documentation before leaving shift.
Assist with preparing monthly activity calendar and weekly menus.
Ensure the home is clean and in good repair.
Duties as assigned.
Key Accountabilities:
You are a mandatory reporter. If you suspect any type of abuse or neglect; you will contact the appropriate authorities, DCS/APS, and your direct supervisor.
Completion of Incident Reports as directed
Maintaining current qualifications and training's
Qualifications:
Clear criminal and central registry background check and clear drug screening (Required)
Valid driver's license with clean driving record (Required)
At least 18 years of age
Proficient with the English language: written and verbal
